Death rate in Gaza increases to 39,324 since October 2023

(MENAFN) Since the onset of Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, over 39,324 Palestinian civilians have been killed and more than 90,830 injured, according to reports from a Palestinian news agency. The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have been accused of committing numerous atrocities, including three significant massacres in the past 24 hours alone. These attacks resulted in the deaths of 66 civilians and injuries to 241 others. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that many victims remain trapped under rubble or are scattered in the streets, while the IOF has reportedly blocked ambulance and civil defense teams from accessing these areas.

The ongoing military actions have led to what is described as a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli forces are alleged to be engaging in a systematic campaign of genocide, characterized by continuous airstrikes, bombardments, and artillery shelling. These operations have severely disrupted the delivery of essential supplies, including food, water, medicine, and fuel, further worsening the plight of civilians.

The international community has been urged to take action, with calls for compliance with UN Security Council resolutions and orders from the International Court of Justice, which demand an immediate halt to the alleged acts of genocide. Despite these calls, there has been widespread criticism of the failure to enforce such measures, leaving the humanitarian situation in Gaza dire and unresolved.
