Global Women In PR Launches Annual Index Survey

(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON - Global Women in PR (GWPR), the global networking and mentoring organisation, has launched its Annual index survey to gauge the experiences of women working in PR and communications around the world.

The sixth edition of the annual index survey covers areas such as how shifts in flexible and hybrid working are affecting women, harassment in the workplace – uncovered as a major issue in the 2023 report –career progression, and barriers to the boardroom.

GWPR is calling on women working in the industry to complete the survey , which is available in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian. The deadline for submission is 31 August.

Co-founder Sue Hardwick told PRovoke Media: "The GWPR Annual Survey is the only in depth global research for women working in the PR and communications industry.
The aim is to understand the reasons why there are so few women in the top roles when women account for close to two-thirds of the workforce. By completing the survey we can better understand the key issues holding women back, and move to finding solutions.

“The Index gives us invaluable insights and this year for the first time we looking at the
breakdown between industry sectors of women in senior roles and the impact of career breaks on career progression.
We have also repeated our focus from 2023 on harassment, which threw up some disturbing results.”

The GWPR Annual Index is supported by Zeno, Havas Red, Opinium, ICCO and Shout! Communications.
