Prospects For Further Co-Op Development Between Azerbaijan, Somalia Discussed - FM


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 26. The prospects of further development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Somalia have been discussed today, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, Trend reports.

He made the statement at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia Ahmed Moalim Fiqi.

“The visit is a vivid example of friendship and cooperation between our countries. This year has a special significance for our relations. We celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Somalia in 2024, and I would like to emphasize the significant strengthening of cooperation in recent years.

We utilize the opportunities of international forums and bilateral meetings for negotiations. Meetings with representatives of Somalia have been held several times. In July 2023, we signed an agreement on political consultations between our countries, which is an important step,” he said.
