Azerbaijan's SOCAR And Serbia's Srbijagas Agree To Expand Cooperation

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. State Oil Company of
Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Srbijagas have agreed to expand cooperation,
in addition to negotiating oil supply increase from Azerbaijani to
Serbia, SOCAR Deputy Vice President Vitaliy Baylarbayov said,
Trend reports.
He made the announcement during the eighth session of the
Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on trade and economic
cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia in Baku.
He recalled that Serbia has been receiving Azerbaijani gas
regularly since January 2024, based on the contract signed between
SOCAR and Srbijagas in November 2023.
The supply of Azerbaijani gas to the Türkiye-Bulgaria-Serbia
system is regular.
Based on this agreement, Serbia can regularly receive up to 400
million cubic meters of gas per year (peak annual volumes) from
Azerbaijan through Bulgaria via the new Bulgaria-Serbia
Interconnector (ISB) until 2026.
The volume amounted to about 20 million cubic meters in the
first six months.
As it became known to Trend, SOCAR also assisted Serbia in
leasing capacity at the Greek liquefied natural gas terminal.
