Ukrainian Defenders Learning To Operate Starstreak Air Defense System In UK
The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported this on Facebook with reference to the UK Ministry of Defense and Permanent Joint HQ of the UK Armed Forces, posting the relevant photos.
"UK Armed Forces have been training Ukrainian recruits on Starstreak, a short-range, portable, air-defence system optimised to provide defence against air threats," the statement reads.
The Starstreak is a British man-portable anti-aircraft missile system, a short-range air defense system optimized to provide protection against airborne threats.

"The training will help Ukrainian recruits protect their sovereign skies from russia's illegal aerial advances," the military said.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, following the 75th NATO Summit in Washington, Ukraine will receive five state-of-the-art air defense capabilities, including four Patriot batteries and one Samp/T battery from the USA, Germany, Romania, the Netherlands, and Italy, as well as dozens of tactical air defense systems.
