Western Azerbaijan Community Lambasts France's Arming Armenia

The Western Azerbaijan Community issued a statement,
Azernews reports.
"During a press conference held at the summit of the European
Political Community in Woodstock, United Kingdom, French President
Emmanuel macron attempted to justify his country's arming of
Armenia and to slander Azerbaijan," the statement reads.
"We remind the French president, who tried to present
Azerbaijan's liberation of its territories from a 30-year
occupation in a negative light in 2020, that the 44-day Patriotic
War was a triumph of international law and justice, fulfilling the
provisions of the UN Charter and specific resolutions of the
Security Council. Instead of trying to tarnish this glorious
history, President Macron should acknowledge his country's
responsibility for encouraging Armenia to continue its occupation
of Azerbaijani territories for many years by supporting it.
It must be emphasised that France's sale of arms to Armenia, a
country that occupied 20% of Azerbaijani territories and held them
under occupation for 30 years, serves to provoke this country,
where revanchist sentiments dominate both in the army and many
political circles, to wage another war against Azerbaijan and
plunge the region into bloodshed.
The Western Azerbaijan Community demands that France immediately
cease arming Armenia and other destructive actions."
