This was reported by the Ministry of Defence , Ukrinform reports.
The arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine includes, in particular, foreign-made pistols from well-known arms companies from the United States, Italy and Belgium.
Most of the pistols and submachine guns approved for use are of 9 mm calibre. There are also models with a more powerful calibre - 11.43 mm.
According to the Ministry of Defence, submachine guns are light, compact and effective. They are mostly equipped with 30-round magazines. However, one of the new models can be converted to use 15-, 20- and 25-round magazines.
