Audit Bureau Monitored 18 Clarifications During Past 3 Months-Jazi
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, July 16 (Petra) - Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Jazi, announced 18 clarification requests were monitored by Audit Bureau during the past three months, marking a "noticeable" decrease.
During this period, the bureau only monitored 2 clarifications during last April, while May and June saw 9 and 7 clarifications, respectively, which affirms "effectiveness" of Jordan's "continuous" periodic review and follow-up approach in this regard.
The minister's announcement came during a meeting held Tuesday for the team charged with reviewing the bureau-monitored clarifications, headed by Jazi.
Speaking at the meeting, Jazi stressed that all necessary measures would be taken to deal with the clarifications, rectify all "duly verified" violations, and address the concerned authorities to resolve them "immediately."
Jazi also noted the majority of clarifications focus on administrative and regulatory procedures, primarily employee promotion and allowance disbursement, as well as illegally using government vehicles in violation of regulations and instructions, disregarding collection of fees to the Treasury, revoking and referring tenders, and breaching supplies procurement.
On future action, Jazi affirmed all necessary measures will be taken to rectify these violations, continue periodic review for their "positive" impact on the institutions' work and consolidate employee compliance with the provisions of the law, regulations and instructions.
