Russian Embassy In Afghanistan Condemns Ukrainian Attack On Media Personnel

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) The Russian Embassy in Afghanistan reported that a journalist from Russia's“NTV” television sustained severe injuries in a targeted drone strike. Additionally, the incident resulted in the deaths of two others, including the journalist's cameraman and one of their security guards.

The embassy statement, released on Thursday, July 11th, asserted that these actions were carried out under Western orders with the reprehensible intention of targeting journalists.

According to the statement,“As a result of a targeted strike by a pilotless aircraft, a journalist from Russia's 'NTV' television sustained severe injuries, and a colleague cameraman from the same television network, along with one of their security guards, lost their lives.”

The embassy emphasized that Kyiv forces have repeatedly targeted Russian journalists, highlighting that such attacks are carried out at the behest of the West.

The statement continued,“Representatives of Russian media and journalism community are systematically subjected to harassment by the Nazi regime in Kyiv.”

The Russian Embassy added that Western Nazis in Ukraine are perpetrating new acts of vandalism.

In response to these events, the Russian Embassy condemned the attack as a deliberate and reprehensible act, attributing it to directives from Western authorities.

The embassy reiterated concerns over the repeated targeting of Russian journalists by Ukrainian forces, accusing them of systematic hostility towards media representatives.

Russia has had a close relationship with the Taliban regime since they took power in Afghanistan, although the Russian government did not formally recognize the regime.
