President Of Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Of Hungary Moot Expanding Cooperation In Shusha
Mirziyoyev and Orban's meeting highlighted the steady growth of Uzbekistan and Hungary's strategic alliance and practical cooperation.
Both parties highlighted that over the past few years, trade between the two countries has almost doubled, the number of joint projects and enterprises is growing, and direct flights between Tashkent and Budapest were resumed on June 30.
The President of Uzbekistan and the Hungarian prime minister paid special attention to accelerating the implementation of cooperation projects in the fields of industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, logistics, construction, and other areas.
They also emphasized the importance of preparing a new portfolio of investment projects and holding a joint Regional Forum in the city of Kokand by the end of this year.
Another topic of the meeting was the intensification of cooperation in education, culture, and sports, highlighting the need to conduct mutual cultural events aimed at bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on current issues of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and the European Union.
To note, the Informal Summit of the OTS being held in Shusha will serve as a platform for high-level discussions on key issues and the organization's agenda.
