Mayor of Odesa Hennadii Trukhanov reported this on Telegram , Ukrinform reports.

"An explosion was heard in the city," Trukhanov wrote.

Not long before that, an air alert was announced in the Odesa region.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that a missile was moving toward the Odesa region.

"An explosion was heard again. Stay in safe places," Trukhanov wrote in a post.

As reported earlier, the port infrastructure in the Odesa region was damaged as a result of a Russian ballistic missile strike on Thursday evening, July 4.
