Two Youth Drown In North Kashmir


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- Two youth drowned while bathing in separate incidents in North Kashmir on Thursday.
In the first incident, a youth identified as Nadeem, 19, son of Zahoor Ahmad and resident of Mir Mohalla Hajin, drowned in the river Jhelum near Jamia at Hajin, Bandipora.
An official said that a rescue operation was initiated immediately after the incident, and efforts are ongoing to rescue him.
In the second incident, another youth, Umar Hameed, son of Ab Hameed Dar and resident of Naseer Abad Sopore, drowned in the Pohru Nallah, Sopore, Baramulla district. Officials said that the rescue operation began soon after the incident.
Rescue operations for both incidents are still in progress.
