Traffic Policeman Fatally Shot In Peshawar's Patang Chowk


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) A traffic policeman was tragically killed by unknown assailants in Peshawar's Patang Chowk area, near Abbasin University.

According to Police sources, the body of the deceased, identified as Constable Tahir Shah, has been transferred to the hospital for post-mortem examination. Constable Shah was reportedly targeted on his way home from duty.

The unidentified attackers fled the scene after the shooting. Initial reports suggest that the incident appears to be a case of target killing. In response, police have commenced an investigation, collecting evidence from the scene and reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.

Upon receiving the information, senior police officers and a substantial police contingent arrived at the location. A search operation was promptly initiated, with strict checking and blockades established at key points in the area to track down the perpetrators.
