Zaporizhzhia Plans To Build 10 Underground Schools

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Zaporizhzhia plans to build 10 underground schools by the end of the year, and work is already underway at five sites.

This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, in Telegram , Ukrinform reports.

"10 underground schools in Zaporizhzhia and in the communities of Zaporizhzhia region is our goal for 2024. We are already building five shelters for educational spaces. We plan to launch the educational process there in the fall," said Fedorov.

According to him, construction of two more underground schools will begin soon.

Mr. Fedorov noted that today Zaporizhzhia region is only developing the practice of building underground schools on different soils and terrains.

He assured that such facilities will have a backup power supply, a modern ventilation system and all educational equipment.

As the agency reported, five underground school are being built in Zaporizhzhia.
