Madhya Pradesh MSME Department Allocates Plots To 40 Msmes In Morkha, Neemuch

(MENAFN- KNN India) Bhopal, Jun 17 (KNN) The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department in Madhya Pradesh has allotted plots to more than 40 small-scale industries in the Morkha industrial area of Neemuch district.

Industries spanning sectors such as welding, cement, furniture, and food processing have proposed an aggregate investment of approximately Rs 70 crore to the MSME department.

Roughly six of these enterprises have already commenced construction activities in the area.

According to Amar Singh More, General Manager, District Industries Center (DIC), Neemuch, "We have allocated 42 plots to industries in the Morkha industrial area. All of these are small-scale units, and they have collectively intended to invest around Rs 70 crore in this industrial belt."

The Morkha industrial area spans 5.21 hectares and comprises more than 42 industrial plots, some of which are reserved for entrepreneurs from scheduled caste and scheduled tribe communities.

Neemuch district has witnessed encouraging inquiries and investment proposals from industries within Madhya Pradesh and the neighbouring state of Rajasthan, particularly in sectors such as textiles, food processing, and agro-based industries, as reported by the MSME department.

"The availability of land, resources, and workforce has made Neemuch one of the favourable destinations for industries to establish facilities," More stated.

He added, "We are also striving to assess the needs and demands of industries in this region and developing new areas accordingly."

According to the MSME department, 23 industries, including large, small, and medium enterprises, have commenced operations in Neemuch district during the previous financial year, proposing a cumulative investment of Rs 234 crore.

These industries have been established on private land, industrial clusters, and government-owned industrial areas.

To accommodate fresh investment, the MSME department is developing four new industrial clusters in Neemuch district.

The development work for the clusters at Kesharpura and Sagrana villages, spanning 5.6 hectares and 9.9 hectares respectively, is approximately 60 percent complete, while the final layout for the proposed clusters at Daru and Dudhawa villages is currently under process.
