KRCS, API Sign Mou For Research And Advisory Cooperation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jun 2 (KUWAIT) -- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) and the Arab Planning Institute (API) signed on Sunday a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in economic and social planning and in the field of preparing advisory and research studies.
The Chairman of KRCS, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer stated to KUNA after the signing that this memorandum will contribute to the development and support of human cadres in the society through cooperation in capacity building and training fields.
Al-Sayer added that another aim of the memorandum was to establish a general framework for cooperation between the two parties in areas and priorities of mutual interest, praising the role played by the institute in supporting Kuwaiti institutions in all forms by providing projects, studies, and ideas that contribute to the development and enhancement of national capabilities.
He mentioned that KRCS looks forward through this cooperation to benefit from the expertise of API in the field of human resource development and capacity building for the staff working in the society.
On his part, Director of the API, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shami said in a similar statement to KUNA that this memorandum aimed to build capacities, training, holding developmental forums, providing technical and institutional support to KRCS and preparing its strategic plan for the upcoming period.
Dr. Al-Shami added that the signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of the developmental efforts and services provided by the institute aiming enhance the benefit of state ministries and institutions from these services.
He mentioned that API would provide training opportunities for the KRCS' staff in training programs and workshops, and design and implement specialized training programs for the society in line with its social role in humanitarian and volunteer work. (end)
