Baku Energy Week To Draw Significant Number Of Companies, Nations


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Nearly 300 companiesfrom 37 nations have confirmed their participation in the BakuEnergy Week, Project Director for the Baku energy Week at theorganizing company Iteca Caspian Aynura Nazirli said, Trend reports.

She made the remark at today's press conference dedicated tothis large-scale event in Baku.

According to her, for the first time, companies from India,Slovenia, and Switzerland will participate in the event, with newcompanies accounting for 15 percent of all participants at the BakuEnergy Week in 2024.

She also mentioned that the moderators will include leaders ofleading analytical companies, particularly the Boston ConsultingGroup.

"A record number of speakers, 77, have been announced for theconference panels at the Convention Center," emphasizedNazirli.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan JahidMikayilov said that an individual panel at the conference (on June6) will be dedicated to green energy.

"This panel will be chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy ElnurSoltanov. He is part of the COP29 chairmanship, and during thepanel sessions, there will be many discussions focusing on theupcoming COP29 in Baku in November," added Mikayilov.

Additionally, the invaluable role of the Contract of the Century(Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli), which celebrates its 30th anniversary thisyear, in the development of Azerbaijan's economy will behighlighted during Baku Energy Week.

To note, Baku Energy Week will start on June 4, uniting threeimportant events - the 29th international exhibition Caspian Oiland Gas, the 12th Caspian international exhibition Energy and GreenEnergy, and the 29th Baku Energy Forum.
