US-Commissioned Reports Serve As Political Pressure Tool - Western Azerbaijan Community

The community notes that the US Department of State haspublished the next country reports on human rights.

"First and foremost, it must be emphasized that the annualreports commissioned by the US Congress serve as a tool ofpolitical pressure, unrelated to the advancement of human rights prompts questioning the moral standing of the US, a nationsignificantly accountable for global human rights violations, yetactively preparing such reports.

This year, the US has attempted to exert pressure on Azerbaijanthrough biased and discriminatory reports. Alongside other baselessassertions, the report on Azerbaijan allocates considerable spaceto slanderous claims, such as the purported "violation of Armenianrights" within our borders. Curiously, the report on Armeniaoverlooks significant human rights abuses, such as the expulsion ofAzerbaijanis, the destruction of their cultural heritage, and thehindrance of their repatriation.

The Western Azerbaijan Community denounces the manipulation ofesteemed values like human rights, as well as the discriminationand prejudice against Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis by the USDepartment of State for political ends. The community reiteratesits call for the US to respect the right of Azerbaijanis expelledfrom Armenia to return home," the statement reads.
