(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Azerbaijan hasestablished a technical committee in the sphere of electric powerand renewable energy sources, Trend reports, referring to Azerbaijan'sEnergy Ministry.
This technical committee was established by the AzerbaijanInstitute of Standardization, which is subordinate to the StateService for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer MarketSupervision.
The Tech Committee's charter and organizational structure havebeen accepted, and it has been assigned the index "AZSTAND/TK 46"on the standards of "Electric and Renewable Energy".
"The purpose of the Technical Committee is to ensure theparticipation of stakeholders in the creation of a regulatorydocumentation base in such areas as the formation of a competitiveenvironment in the electricity market, ensuring the efficientoperation of electric power industry entities, stimulating the useof renewables in electricity generation, efficient use of energyresources, and ensuring energy efficiency," the press release ofthe Ministry of Energy specified.
