Jerash, Jan. 26, (Petra)-- According to the spokesman for the Public Security Department (PSD), four people were stuck in their car inside the Zarqa torrent stream in Jerash.
The Jerash Civil Defense Directorate cadres and the police responded to this information today. The report was received by the Operations and Control Room.
The civil defense teams acted quickly, and when they arrived, they discovered that a car had suffered an accident that caused it to veer off the road and fall into the stream. They also discovered that four people were trapped inside the vehicle because of the high water level in the torrent.
They were given first aid at the scene by ambulance services, and although rescue crews struggled to extract them from the stream and transport them to a safe location, their overall health appears to be good.
