Doha, Qatar: Six were killed when Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin in West Bank at dawn on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

"An Israeli occupation bombardment on a group of citizens killed six people in Jenin," said the Palestinian Authority-run Ministry of Health, which is based in the West Bank.

With their military vehicles, they stormed Jenin from Jenin-Nablus Street, amid confrontations in several areas of the city. They also fired smoke bombs in Al-Jabriyat neighborhood.

Meanwhile there were calls for ceasefire in New York and Seattle as many demanded "free, free Palestine" and "occupation has got to go".

Hamza Dahdouh, son of Al Jazeera's Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh, has been killed in an Israeli air strike west of Khan Younis, the southern Gaza Strip.

He died when a missile directly hit the vehicle he was traveling in. Hamza Dahdouh, 27, a photojournalist, and colleague Mustafa Thuraya were in the car at the time it was targeted. Thuraya also died.

Wael Dahdouh, 52, lost his wife, daughter, grandson, and 15-year-old son in an Israeli attack on his family home in October.

Dozens of journalists have been killed in Israeli strikes since the war began on October 7.

Six Palestinians were martyred Sunday in an Israeli strike targeting the southern part of the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, six citizens were martyred due to an Israeli drone strike targeting a gathering of civilians near the Martyrs' Roundabout in the southern part of Jenin. This occurred after their attempt to prevent the entry of occupation forces that had invaded the city on Saturday night, leading to confrontations with young people in various areas of the city, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.

In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus from the western entrance and arrested a Palestinian girl. They raided several residential buildings in the Al-Maajin neighborhood and deployed snipers in the area, amid the outbreak of clashes.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin in the West Bank at dawn on Sunday.

With their military vehicles, they stormed Jenin from Jenin-Nablus Street, amid confrontations in several areas of the city. They also fired smoke bombs in Al-Jabriyat neighborhood.

Additionally, the occupation forces deployed their snipers on the rooftops of buildings, as reconnaissance planes and drones flew in the skies of the city during the intrusion, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported.

On the other hand, 4 Palestinians were injured by live bullets and shrapnel, Saturday night, during confrontations with the occupation forces in Zeita, north of Tulkarm, where the occupation forces stormed the town and deployed patrols in its streets. They stopped citizens vehicles, searched them, and subjected drivers to interrogation. Confrontations also broke out between Palestinians and the occupation soldiers, who fired gunshots.

A number of Palestinians also suffocated with poisonous gas during confrontations with the occupation forces in the village of Husan.

Local sources reported that the confrontations were concentrated in Muteena area, during which the occupation forces fired live bullets, poison gas and sound bombs, causing a number of citizens to suffocate.
