Turkish, Egyptian Foreign Ministers talk over Gaza situation, humanitarian aid

(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry engaged in a phone discussion addressing the current situation in the Gaza Strip.

According to diplomatic sources from Turkey, Fidan and Shoukry exchanged perspectives on the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Furthermore, the ministers deliberated on potential measures to enact the decisions formulated at the recent Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)-Arab League Summit, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, as per the sources.

As the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip entered its 38th day, the latest figures from Palestinian authorities indicate that at least 11,180 Palestinians have lost their lives, including over 7,700 children and women. Additionally, more than 28,200 individuals have sustained injuries.

The relentless air and ground attacks by Israel have also resulted in significant damage or destruction to thousands of buildings, including hospitals, mosques, and churches in the besieged enclave since last month.
