Strike On Nova Poshta Terminal: 16 Injured Remain In Hospital, Five In Intensive Care


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Five people who were injured during the Russian attack on the Nova Poshta terminal are in the intensive care unit, two of them are on artificial lung ventilation devices.

Olena Shapoval, a spokeswoman for the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Currently, there are 16 injured in the medical facility as a result of the missile attack on the Nova Poshta terminal on October 21. Seven of the injured are in serious condition, five are in intensive care, two of them are extremely serious, they are connected to lung ventilators," Shapoval said.

According to her, all the injured are men between the ages of 19 and 48. The victims underwent the necessary surgical interventions on October 21.

"Mostly there were wounds to the chest and abdominal cavities, as well as to the limbs," the spokeswoman noted.

Nine people sustained mild and moderate injuries: eight are in the surgical department and one is in the trauma department.

As reported, at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, the Russian army fired two S-300 missiles at the Nova Poshta terminal in Korotych, in the Kharkiv region. Six people were killed and 17 others were injured.
