Uae's Purehealth Acquires British Hospital Operator Circle Health For 1.2 Bln Usd


(MENAFN- Famagusta Gazette) PureHealth, an integrated healthcare network headquartered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has signed an agreement to acquire Circle health Group, the largest independent operator of hospitals in Britain, in a deal worth 4.41 billion dirhams (1.2 billion U.S. dollars), UAE's official news agency WAM reported on Monday.

The acquisition, which is part of PureHealth's global expansion program, marks the company's first entry into Britain, it said.

Under the deal, PureHealth will gain 100 percent of Circle Health Group's assets, including specialties such as orthopedics, oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, ophthalmology, neurosurgery and general surgery, and the new hospitals that Circle Health Group is building, according to the report.

“This acquisition marks an important milestone in our journey towards creating a global healthcare network which revolutionizes patient care,” Farhan Malik, managing director and group CEO of PureHealth, was quoted as saying. ■
