'Our Identity In Our Heritage' Programme Concludes

Doha, Qatar: The 'Hour & Hour' programme, in collaboration with the Al Jasra Cultural and Social Club, concluded the 'Our Identity in Our Heritage' programme by organising a series of workshops, activities, and events aimed at raising awareness of the Qatari identity and heritage, and fostering a spirit of social solidarity among children and varisegments of the Qatari community.

The end of the summer programme was announced at a ceremony attended by a distinguished group of intellectuals, athletes, media personalities, artists, and individuals interested in the Qatari culture and heritage. Additionally, participants, both male and female, and members of the 'Hour & Hour' programme, as well as partners and collaborators of the summer programme 'Our Identity in Our Heritage', were also present at the closing ceremony.

A total of 40 participants, both male and female, took part in the summer programme, which included numerQatari cultural activities and workshops like playwriting, traditional cuisine teaching, and Majlis etiquette workshops. Additionally, the programme featured folk games and heritage-themed storytelling. This programme was designed to make use of the participants' summer vacation in ways that benefit them and their community.

The programme, which is about organising workshops, folk games, theatrical sessions, and storytelling, aims to raise cultural and heritage awareness among the participants. It also strives to foster a sense of social solidarity within the community, promote family bonds, and preserve the social and cultural values.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 'Our Identity in Our Heritage' programme, CEO of the 'Hour & Hour' programme Tamani Al Keldie emphasised the importance of preserving the Qatari identity and social and cultural values by organising such programmes and activities. On the occasion of concluding the first edition of the 'Our Identity in Our Heritage' programme, Al Keldie thanked the programme's supporters and partners, including the Al Jasra Cultural and Social Club, for contributing to the success of the programme. She also looked forward to organizing future editions of the programme in new formats, in cooperation with partners and supporters.

Director of the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture Maryam Al-Hammadi expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Al-Keldie, for organising the summer programme 'Our Identity in Our Heritage', encouraging others to hold such cultural and heritage activities.

Bashir Al Hadi Abdullah, the representative of the Al Jasra Cultural and Social Club, thanked the collaborators and partners, especially the 'Hour and Hour' programme. He also thanked Al Keldie, CEO of the 'Hour and Hour' programme.

Ahmed Abdullah, a media personality, praised the summer program 'Our Identity in Our Heritage', appreciating the role of Al Keldie in the implementation and success of the programme.
