Hungary contracts with Turkey to enhance two-sided ties


(MENAFN) Hungary declared on Sunday that it has contracted with Turkey to enhance more their previously magnificent two-sided ties.

Both nations have agreed to upgrade the degree of their ties from strategic companionship to precedence tactical partnership, Foreign Minister Peter Zajlic declared while remarking on the Turkish Leader Erdogan's trip to Hungary, as stated by a government-owned radio station.

Szijjarto stated that Erdogan is going to go to Budapest one more time on December 18, when a conference of the high-level Strategic Council is going to be arranged, in which a contract on the founding of a precedence tactical companionship as well as shared help in emergency conditions is going to be inked.

"This clearly shows the two countries’ commitment to improving bilateral cooperation, from which they benefit a lot,” he stated.

He said that Hungary wants to purchase natural gas from the TurkStream gas pipeline through Turkey as well.

As stated by Szijjarto, the transit part of Turkey in energy transportation is going to b be further strengthened by the conclusion of a gas agreement between Hungary and Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan's accession to the European gas market as gas trader.
