Telegram Launches Stories Feature In New Update
Washington: The instant messaging app platform Telegram announced the launch of the Stories feature for all its users through a new update, as this feature was made available to subscribers of Telegram Premium last July.
The Stories feature allows users to share photos and videos with their friends for a short period of time, as these stories appear at the top of the list of conversations in an expandable space, and users can view any story when clicking on it and interact with it by sending text messages or using emojis.
Regarding sharing photos or videos in the app, these posts appear by default for 24 hours to all users, and Telegram Premium subscribers can reduce this period to 6 or 12 hours or increase it to 48 hours. Furthermore, users can make some adjustments to photos and videos, add text, stickers, geolocation, and other interactive elements.
The Telegram platform also provides multiple options to control the sharing of stories, where users can determine who can see their stories, whether it is everyone, contacts, or a selected list of friends, and can exclude some people from seeing stories.
The app gives users the option to prevent or allow taking screenshots from stories, and provides the ability to permanently keep the story in the profile even after the end of the period scheduled for sharing it.
After sharing stories, users can follow detailed statistics about who saw the stories and how they interacted with them. They can also take photos and videos using dual camera mode to activate the front and rear cameras at the same time.

Other additional benefits of Telegram Premium subscribers include the prioritization of their own stories, the ability to see other people's stories without them knowing, the ability to download stories to their devices, and more.
These new features come as part of Telegram's celebration of the 10th anniversary of the app's launch, and it is noteworthy that its number of users has now exceeded 800 million.
