Qatar-Based Firms Named Among Best Workplaces List

Doha, Qatar: Great Place to Work recently announced the list of best workplaces in the Middle East, which included Qatar-based companies such as Shift and McDonald's by Al Mana Restaurants and Food Co.

The international research, training, and consultancy company named over 70 businesses across all sectors in the GCC.

“We are incredibly proud of the Qatari companies that have been recognised as the Best Workplaces in the Middle East List,” Lamees ElZeghaty, Regional Lists and Certifications Manager of Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Great Place to Work Middle East, told The Peninsula.

She asserted that the firms attained momentum due to the commitment of the workers and the culture embraced within the organisation.

“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of their employees, whose feedback and contributions have helped shape a positive and engaging work culture,” ElZeghaty said.

She further added that“By prioritising the well-being and satisfaction of their employees, these companies have set a high standard for workplace excellence.”

During the past years, Qatar-based companies surpassed industry standards, going above and beyond to create workplaces that prioritize employee satisfaction and well-being, leading to increased productivity, creativity, and overall success.

Commenting on this year's Best Workplaces in the Middle East list, Jules Youssef, Managing Director for Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, Great Place to Work Middle East, said:“This announcement and recognition of the Best Workplaces in the Middle East for the year 2023 will undoubtedly inspire other organisations to strive for excellence in their respective industries.”

The official underscored that keeping pace with workers' requirements and standards will lead the companies toward exceptional accomplishment in the years ahead.

Among companies that also operate in Qatar that took a place in the large category winners' list include DHL Express, The One, Hilton, Shoe Mart, Ajmal Perfumes Group, Globelink West Star Shipping, Babyshop and Hilti. On the other hand, Qatar-operating firms such as Leminar, Cisco, PetroGas, and EMAX were named in the Medium category winners list. Meanwhile, in the small category, Blue Ocean Academy was also among the winner's list.
