Aqaba, July 29 (Petra) -- Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) President Nayef Fayez and Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan Muhammad Nasri bin Abdul Rahman discussed in Aqaba on Saturday ways and means of enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially investment, tourism and fisheries.
Fayez pointed to incentives and facilities offered by ASEZA, which looks forward to hosting Malaysian businessmen and investors to acquaint them with business opportunities available in the Red Sea port of Aqaba.
He said ASEZA offers facilities and privileges to Malaysian companies interested in vital sectors in Aqaba, which connects many destinations across continents.
The authority, he added, aspires to attract tourism from Malaysia and benefit from that country's expertise in this field, open air routes between Aqaba and Malaysia and provide facilities for travelers to "enjoy a unique" tourism product in the Golden Triangle; Aqaba, Petra and Wadi Rum.
Fayez stressed ASEZA's interest in enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise and innovative ideas to develop fish production techniques and achieve environmental sustainability in fish farming in Aqaba, a targeted vital sector that could help achieve economic development and create job opportunities for the local community.
