Russian Chamber of Commerce expands connections with ICCIMA


(MENAFN) Chief of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation has indicated that the chamber is open to expanding connections with the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA).

According to the ICCIMA webpage, Sergey Katyrin congratulated the recently elected ICCIMA Chief Hossein Selahvarzi in a statement, highlighting the Russian chamber's dedication to collaborating with the Iranian side in order to improve relations between the two countries.

“Considering the significant potential for the development of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Iran, I look forward to further strengthening the interaction between our organizations for the benefit of the business operators of our countries,” as declared by Katyrin in his statement.

During the board members' conference of the Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce and Russian Ambassador to Tehran Alexey Dedov both parties looked on measures to encourage commercial interactions.

At the conference that took place last week at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, the Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce's board of associates urged the Russian side to loosen the restrictions for granting Iranian businessmen visas as well as to automate the online certification of origin process.
