(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has expressed confidence that the European Union will continue providing support to Ukraine as long as it takes.

The relevant statement was made by President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on twitter , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“500 days of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. 500 days of brave Ukrainian resistance. 500 days of steadfast European support for Ukraine. We will stand by Ukraine as long as it takes,” Von der Leyen wrote.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russia started an unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
