Pentagon accuses Russian piolets of harassing its drones

(MENAFN) The United States army has blamed Russian pilots for “harassing” American jets flying over Syria, saying that some aircraft involved in “reckless” manner have obligated the American aircrafts to take quibbling action. The Pentagon has issued images alleging to demonstrate the engagement.

Air Forces Central, the air module of United States Central Command (CENTCOM), released a declaration on Wednesday claiming “unsafe and unprofessional” flying by the Russian aircrafts as they engaged with many Reaper jets.

“While three US MQ-9 drones were conducting a mission against ISIS targets, three Russian fighter jets began harassing the drones.Against established norms and protocols, the Russian jets dropped multiple parachute flares in front of the drones, forcing our aircraft to conduct evasive maneuvers,” Air Forces Central head Lt. Gen. Alex Grynkewich stated in the media announcement.

The facility afterwards issued a film of the encounter, that shows what seems to be Russian jets firing flares close to the aircrafts, leaving a down-fall traces of smoke.
