Moph Exempts Qu Health Grads From Experience Requirement

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public health (MoPH) in Qatar has issued a waiver to exempt QU Health graduates from having post-graduation experience to earn their license.
The decision exempt graduates from the colleges of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Health Sciences from having experience requirement to obtain their license.
This decision includes all health institutes in the government, semi-government, and private sectors. The decision was based on substantial evidence provided to the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) in MoPH, demonstrating that the mentioned programems have undergone rigorous quality measures and obtained academic accreditation from reputable bodies.
It also serves as compelling evidence for the Qatari community, employers, and students, highlighting that QU Health colleges consistently produce high-quality graduates who are competent in delivering safe and exceptional healthcare services.
On this significant decision, Prof. Asma Al Thani, QU Vice President for Health and Medical Sciences commented:“We are proud of this milestone; this decision is a testament to the high quality of education in our health and medical professions at Qatar University; it affirms the competencies of our graduates. This accomplishment enhances the employment opportunities of our graduates and reinforces our commitment to supplying the healthcare sector with competent graduates.”
QU Associate Vice President for Clinical Affairs, Dr. Medhat Askar said:“The recent decision granted to QU Health graduates, is a testament to the rigorous clinical education they receive during their internships. These experiences shape their skills and enhance their readiness to meet the highest standards of practice. From students' perspective on the impact of this decision, Haya Abu Hijleh, a graduate of the Human Nutrition programme at the College of Health Sciences at Qatar University, said:“This decision opens up doors of opportunity for us, ensuring that we can directly enter the workforce and make a meaningful impact. It instills confidence in us as future health professionals and reinforces the value of our education.”
