KUWAIT, June 19 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait has always taken a special interest in the cultural scene, especially as it believes culture and literature to be integral to the development of a nation, and this belief is manifested in the Information Ministry's Kuwait Magazine.
The monthly magazine, chaired by Editor-in-Chief Aisha Al-Asousi, is quite intent on producing significant impact as it publishes noteworthy articles by local and Arab writers, creates space for the flow of ideas, highlights prevalent topics, and helps young writers demonstrate their skills.
Alongside its cultural agenda, the magazine takes it upon itself to celebrate the Kuwaiti national identity and heritage via publishing pieces written by historians.
Kuwait Magazine's administration is very keen on connecting with the audience and presenting them with publications that are riveting in both content and appearance.
In an effort to become more accessible, particularly as the world of publications is undergoing rapid changes, the magazine released a web version.
This also comes as confirmation to ministry's efforts in achieving new Kuwait 2035 vision of digitalization, and the ministry's 2021-2026 strategy.
Despite the web form being more widespread, the magazine did not neglect its traditional version but rather it adapted it to become more in sync with modern day requirements, as it released issues with a barcode that readers can scan to access audiovisual version, listen to poetry readings and watch documentaries related to subject matters.
Furthermore, Kuwait Magazine aims to keep up with developments via publishing special issues on vital topics, observing cultural artistic movements, examining and analyzing them and providing researchers with valuable references.
It also sets out to acquaint readers with prominent Kuwaiti figures, local anecdotes as well as highlight local attractions whether historic or modern. (end) shd.aai
