'Dancing On Bones': MFA Comments On Szijjártó And Putin Calls To Stop Security Assistance To Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Oleg Nikolenko, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, called the statements made by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó and Russian president Vladimir Putin, urging the West to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine, "dancing on bones."

Nikolenko quoted the statements by Putin and Szijjártó, published in the media: "Vladimir Putin: 'If they want the conflict to end, the West must stop supplying arms to Ukraine." Péter Sijarto: "Supply of weapons prolongs the war. Instead of supplying weapons, the international community should rather concentrate on achieving peace."

As reported, the USA announced on Tuesday the allocation of an additional package of security assistance to Ukraine, which provides for the immediate delivery of air defense systems, missiles for HIMARS, rounds, armored vehicles, and other weapons.

The British government has announced a security assistance package to Ukraine worth GBP 92 million (almost $116 million) to improve the effectiveness of its air defense.
