stc successfully concludes its talent development program ‘IBDAA Academy’ in collaboration with McKinsey & Company
(MENAFN- Morimak) Kuwait, 3 June 2023: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, announced the successful conclusion of its talent academy program called ‘IBDAA Academy’, which was organized in collaboration with the global management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. The talent development program aimed to enhance the competencies and abilities of top-performing personnel by cultivating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that emphasizes personal growth and development.
Following the conclusion of the academy, a graduation ceremony was held to celebrate and recognize participating employees for their achievements. Employees were awarded with certificates of completion in the presence of the Company’s Executive management team in recognition of their hard work and effort throughout the program. IBDAA Academy was introduced by stc to enhance the skills and develop the capabilities of high-potential employees (HIPOs) in preparation of them potentially taking more senior and strategic responsibilities within the organization. Through a carefully crafted curriculum that aligned with stc’s corporate objectives and strategy, the academy provided HIPOs with the necessary skills and knowledge to act as mentors to other aspiring employees. In addition to providing educational opportunities, the academy played a crucial role in enhancing employee engagement and contribution, which will in return lead to improved employee retention and reduced turnover of high-performing staff.
Commenting on the program’s conclusion, Chief Human Resources Officer of stc, engineer Ahmad Al-Hammad, said, “We are proud to witness all the participants who effectively utilized the valuable experiences and learning opportunities provided through this program that was organized in collaboration with our esteemed partners, McKinsey & Company. Investing in our people is a key component in our strategy and that will in return assist us in achieving operational excellence and organizational success.
