Russian Commanders Now Face Dilemma Of Whether To Strengthen Defenses At Its Border Or On Frontlines UK Intelligence

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Amid ongoing attacks on Belgorod region by Russian partisan groups, Russian commanders now face an acute dilemma of whether to strengthen defences in Russia's border regions or reinforce their lines in occupied territories of Ukraine

The UK Ministry of Defense said this in a new intelligence update on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

According to the British Defense Ministry, during the latest attack on Belgorod region, the Russian military probably acted more successfully in containing this raid than the previous one.

However, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense's own press release, it has resorted to deploying the full range of military firepower on its own territory, including attack helicopters, and the TOS-1A heavy thermobaric rocket launcher.

“Russian commanders now face an acute dilemma of whether to strength defences in Russia's border regions or reinforce their lines in occupied Ukraine,” the report says.

It is noted that on June 1, partisan groups attacked Russia's Belgorod region for the second time in ten days. At the same time, in Belgorod, which is located 35 kilometers from the border, drone strikes were recorded.

As reported by Ukrinform, the British intelligence in its previous update said that there were calls in Russia from the opposition to replace Russian President Vladimir Putin, after recent violent rhetoric by Wagner Group owner Yevgeny Prigozhin.
