(MENAFN) Isfahan province in Iran is set to witness the completion and delivery of 20,000 housing units under the National Housing Movement Plan by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, which concludes in March 2024. This announcement was made by Alireza Qari-e Quran, the head of the province's Transport and Urban Development Department, who confirmed that these units have already obtained the necessary construction permits. This initiative aims to address the pressing housing needs of applicants in Isfahan province and provide them with affordable and accessible housing options.

The National Land and Housing Organization, represented by its acting head Arsalan Maleki, has played a vital role in facilitating the implementation of the National Housing Movement Plan across the country. Maleki recently revealed that 22,000 hectares of land have been earmarked for the execution of this ambitious plan. Currently, the organization has 727 preparatory projects underway throughout Iran, with 680 projects spanning an area of 22,000 hectares specifically allocated for the National Housing Movement Plan. These efforts signify a significant commitment from the Iranian government to address housing shortages and promote sustainable urban development.

Maleki further highlighted that Isfahan province is witnessing a high concentration of preparation projects, indicating the region's importance in the overall plan. He also noted that Zanjan province has made considerable progress, with approximately 65% completion of the preparatory projects. These developments signify substantial advancements in the preparation and groundwork required for the successful implementation of the National Housing Movement Plan.

The National Housing Movement Plan holds great significance for the Iranian government's efforts to tackle the housing crisis and ensure affordable housing for its citizens. With a goal of constructing four million housing units over a span of four years, this plan represents a major commitment to addressing the housing sector's challenges. By providing affordable and accessible housing options, the government aims to improve the quality of life for Iranian citizens and promote social welfare.

The ongoing efforts in Isfahan province and other regions across the country underscore the government's determination to prioritize housing as a crucial aspect of national development. As the National Housing Movement Plan continues to progress, it is expected to have a transformative impact on the housing sector, contributing to the overall socio-economic growth of Iran.
