Afghanistan Could Be Come A Hub Of Tourism In Asia: Tourists


(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Mohammad Nabi Baha, chairman of Afghan Tour State Company met with foreign tourists and stressed that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is trying its best to improve tourism facilities for local and foreign tourists in the country.

In a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture, two British tourists hailed the facilities provided by the Afghan authorities.

Qadratullah Noori, manager of“Afghanistan travel Adventure” tourism company was accompanying two British tourists named Joseph and James according to state-run Bakhtar news agency.

The foreign tourists thanked the hospitality of the Afghan people and the officials of the Afghan-Tour State Company of the Ministry of Information and Culture. They have already visited certain provinces of Afghanistan including Herat, Kandahar, Nuristan and Kabul, the source added.

“Like every other country, Afghanistan has its unique natural beauties and has the potential to become a hub of tourism in Asia,” the tourist said. They will encourage other travelers to visit this beautiful mountainous country, they added.

Although the ruling regime emphasizes that stability is restored throughout the country, security still remains a major threat to foreign nationals and tourists in Afghanistan.

Over the past months, insurgent groups targeted the Russian Embassy, Pakistani Diplomatic Mission and a Chinese-run Hotel in Kabul, resulting in the death and injury of scores of people including foreign nationals.
