Iran's President Raisi Appoints Ali Akbar Ahmadian as Secretary of Supreme National Security Council

(MENAFN) President Ebrahim Raisi, in a report released over the weekend, has called upon Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the newly appointed secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), to employ innovative and strategic approaches to address a wide range of national security concerns. These concerns encompass not only social and Political aspects but also economic possibilities and challenges.

Raisi emphasized his expectation that Ahmadian, as the head of the SNSC, would utilize the country's available resources to establish a sustainable security framework that prioritizes the well-being of the Iranian people. The president also stressed the importance of enhancing coordination among the executive, judicial, and intelligence bodies, emphasizing the need for comprehensive security measures to be further strengthened.

In his message to Ahmadian, President Raisi extended his best wishes for success in fulfilling his responsibilities and serving the Iranian nation. He also emphasized the significance of adhering to the guidelines set forth by the esteemed Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in safeguarding Iran's national security interests.

The appointment of Dr. Ali Akbar Ahmadian as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council follows the dedicated ten-year service of Admiral Ali Shamkhani in this esteemed position. President Raisi expressed appreciation for Shamkhani's efforts, acknowledging his valuable contributions to Iran's national security. The announcement of Ahmadian's appointment was made through an official statement on the Iranian presidency's website on May 22.
