Amman, May 24 (Petra)--The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) participated in the Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) 2023, convened from May 22 to May 24.
"The Riyadh Travel Fair is one of the key tourism fairs in Saudi Arabia, that is attended by several travel and tourism agencies and airlines" a JTB statement cited Tourism Minister, Makram Al Qaisi, as saying.
Al Qaisi, who is also the JTB Chairman, underlined the importance of the Gulf market, which is one of the most important tourism markets, as it is less affected by the regional political situation, and is a large market and a major source of tourism.
JTB General Director, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, also stressed the importance of this fair, in which the JTB participates via a Jordanian pavilion, with the participation and presence of Jordanian travel and tourism companies and hotels, in addition to the Aqaba Economic Zone Authority, and Royal Jordanian Airlines.
He said that Jordan is a key tourism destinations that possesses well-established tourism potentials that prepare it to receive tourists from the Gulf market, due to Jordan's cultural acceptance, diversity and richness of tourism products, mild weather throughout the year, and advanced medical and treatment services.
Arabiyat added that the JTB seeks, through its participation in the fair, to increase public awareness about Jordanian tourism products, and to highlight the importance of the Kingdom in tourism due to its tourism potentials that indicate the great cultural and civilizational heritage.
For his part, Jordan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ali Al-Kayed, said that the Jordanian pavilion is gaining significant interest and multiple visits from those who are interested in getting to know the tourism landscape and products in Jordan.
