Magrabi Retail Group to Establish Internal Retail Academy Across the Kingdom

(MENAFN) Magrabi Retail Group, the leading eyewear retailer in the Middle East, has partnered with Umm Al-Qura and King Saud universities in Saudi Arabia to provide training facilities to students studying to become opticians. According to the CEO of Magrabi, Yasser Taher, the company is now looking to expand on these initiatives by establishing an internal Retail Academy across the Kingdom. The Retail Academy will cover all aspects of training and development for Magrabi's teams, including optometrists, opticians, client advisors, and managers.

Taher explained that the Retail Academy will provide training on vision correction, technical know-how, client experience, product expertise, fashion and lifestyle, operational management, and leadership. The Academy will be in-house at Magrabi and will be deployed across all the countries the company operates in. This initiative is part of Magrabi's commitment to providing high-quality services to its customers and ensuring that its team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

This move is also aligned with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to encourage the development of local talent and provide job opportunities for Saudi nationals. By partnering with universities and establishing an internal Retail Academy, Magrabi is not only contributing to the development of the local workforce but also setting a standard for other companies to follow. With its focus on training and development, Magrabi is well-positioned to continue its growth and success in the highly competitive eyewear retail market in the region.
