(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): A Kabul-based woman entrepreneur has opened a restaurant in the capital, providing job opportunities for 20 needy females.

Two years ago, Samira Mohammadi established the eatery called“Banoan Afghan” at a cost of 100,000 afghanis in the Khairkhana area of Kabul, where 20 women are currently working.

Ahead of the new solar year, the café owner said they had organised a Samanak party - an ancient traditional gathering of

women.

She added 20 poor women were working at the restaurant, preparing delectable recipes like aushak, bolani, mantu, samosa, pizza and ice cream.

In addition to the 20 women, she said, 30 men were also working in different sections of the eatery.

With regard to worker salaries, Samira said:“Since ours is a relatively new restaurant, it doesn't have a huge budget. We pay our employees to the extent that their daily expenses are met.”

She promised providing jobs for 500 more women in the future in case of cooperation from donors.
