Drug Fugitive Wanted By Kuwait Nabbed In Riyadh -- Moi


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) -- A fugitive accused of drug trafficking has been detained in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said on Friday.
The man, wanted on charges of trafficking 18 kilograms of hashish into Kuwait for trading, was apprehended in Riyadh as a result of coordination between the Kuwaiti General Department for Drug Control and Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
Kuwaiti authorities are currently holding contacts with the Saudi authorities for handover of the fugitive, pending legal procedures against him.
The MoI expressed gratitude to the Saudi Authorities for their rapid response in all drugs related cases involving the two sisterly countries. (end)
