Iran is involved in oil, gas exploration in four nearby nations
(MENAFN) The Director of Exploration at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Mehdi Fakour, recently stated that Iran currently has oil and gas exploration relations with four neighboring countries. Speaking at a press conference, Fakour highlighted the importance of exploration in the oil industry, noting that it plays a vital role in mapping out the country's energy future. According to Fakour, transferring exploration technologies to neighboring countries can generate income and create value for Iran.
Fakour emphasized that there is no local exploration management in countries surrounding Iran, which presents a significant opportunity for the Iranian Ministry of Oil to establish itself as a key player in the region. He added that the neighboring and Eurasian countries are willing to cooperate with Iran, and the Iranian Ministry of Oil is eager to collaborate with them.
Fakour revealed that Iran has currently established exploration relations with four neighboring countries, and there is potential for further cooperation in this area. He also mentioned that meetings have been held with Oman's Minister, during which Oman accepted all proposals for exploration cooperation. The two countries have agreed to form a joint team to advance these agreements.
In conclusion, Fakour stressed the importance of exploring and tapping into neighboring countries' energy resources to create a mutually beneficial partnership. Such collaborations can help build strong relationships with neighboring countries, generate income for Iran, and pave the way for the development of new technologies in the energy sector.
