Joe Biden declared fit for presidency by White House physician

(MENAFN) White House physician, Kevin O'Connor, released a health summary on Thursday stating that US President Joe Biden is fit to carry out his duties as President. Dr O'Connor confirmed that Biden, who is 80 years old, is a healthy and vigorous male. The review, which included a check-up since Biden's last physical in November 2021, noted that he had contracted Covid-19 last year, but has not experienced any persistent symptoms associated with long Covid.

The President's physician also stated that Biden has spinal arthritis, issues with his feet, and gastro-oesophageal reflux, which sometimes results in throat clearing. During a routine skin cancer check-up, a small lesion was discovered on his chest and sent for biopsy, with results pending. Biden has undergone two physical examinations as President.

Biden's age has been a concern, given that he is already the oldest President in US history. If he wins his expected re-election bid, he would be 82 years old at the beginning of his second term. Biden acknowledged the concerns about his age during a TV interview in October 2021, stating that he understands why people might be worried and would encourage people to vote against him if they felt he could no longer carry out his duties.
