(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is preparing to establish hundreds additional employment opportunities in the defense industry as Saudi Arabian Military Industries' new ‘Land System Center of Excellence’ becomes functional in the upcoming two years, the firm’s chief executive informed Arab News.
While giving a speech exclusively on the offshoots of the International Defence Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, Walid Abukhaled stated that the most recent venture by the firm is created to grow the defense sector in Saudi Arabia.
“What we announced is the design phase of the facilities. We have got board approval, we have got the support, and we are moving forward with our plan,” he added.
The SAMI chief executive mentioned that the most recent hub is going to concentrate on improving land system vehicles such as four-by-fours, six-by-sixes, and eight-by-eights.
The hub is part of the motive to make SAMI one of the leading 25 defense firm internationally by the end of this decade– an ambition that is rising probably due to the backing from the leadership of the nation, in line with Abukhaled.
