Kermanshah region's yearly horticultural production reaches 340,000 tons


(MENAFN) The yearly figure of crops outputted in the gardens of Kermanshah district, in the west of Iran, reaches at 340,000 tons, a provincial official declared.

Ali Chaleh-Chaleh, the chief of the province’s Agriculture Department, recorded the sector of Kermanshah gardens at over 44,000 hectares and stated that 500 hectares of these gardens are advanced.

Kermanshah province with over 950,000 hectares of agricultural land is currently one of the nation's agricultural centers.

The province’s overall agricultural production reaches more than 4.766 million tons, and around 125,000 persons are operating in the agricultural industry of the province.

The most recent statistics issued by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) indicate that Iran stood between the world’s highest producers of several agricultural outputs in 2021.

According to the data issued by the FAO, Iran has been also between the highest shippers of agricultural outputs in the world throughout 2021.
