Doha: The Qatar Football Association's disciplinary committee has fined three players belonging to the Qatar Stars League club Al Sadd.

Akram Afif, Hassan al-Haydos, and Saad Al Sheeb have all been fined QAR 5,000 by the governing body.

The decision comes after all three players failed to show up for a post-match interview following their 1-0 league win over Al Markhiya.

All players were found in violation of article 3/2, 1/58 of the disciplinary regulations.

On the otherhand, Bashar Resan of Qatar SC, who was shown a second-yellow card and expelled from the game versus Al Arabi, had his appeal denied by the QFA's committee.

The committee noted that its refereeing department's statement confirmed the validity of the second yellow card Resan received, and that the decision to expel him still remains valid.
