'Police Academy Keeping Pace With Training Requirements'

Doha: Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy Major-General H E Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal underscored that the Academy is committed to promoting both the academic and training tracks, as well as keeping pace with the education and training requirements.

Following the ceremony of handover certificates of the Police Academy, he thanked Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy H E sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani for attending the ceremony of handover certificates, and patronizing the program of the Police Academy.

Major-General H E Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal said that the Academy is awaiting the graduation of the fifth batch through which the academy intends to highlight the potential graduated students and their fellows acquired from the rest of the baches during the past years.

The Ministry of Interior is persistently working to update its educational, training and research system, within its jurisdiction in keeping pace with the developments in the security and legal fields, whether locally, regionally or globally, achieving its strategy, promoting the role of the ministries and other security institutions in the State of Qatar, in addition to providing outcomes that effectively contribute to human, social and economic development in all vital sectors, in pursuit of bolstering the optimal investment in human resources of the country, H E Dr. Al Mal pointed out.

Meanwhile, Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy congratulated the graduates and their relatives for this success that has been achieved through patience and perseverance, wishing them success in their career. He also thanked all affiliates of the Academy, officers, personnel and members of the teaching and training staff for their fruitful cooperation, and dedicated efforts in promoting the process of the Academy's operation.

Addressing the ceremony, the Director of the Training Department at the Police Academy, Lt. Col. Fahd Saeed Al Subaie said that the Police Academy has been keen to scientifically and practically prepare the students by the support and guidance from HE Minister of Interior, where students spent four years of hard work and perseverance and keenness to acquire knowledge, and military science who were subject to all practical tests and applications in fulfilling of the requirements of receiving the Bachelor's degree.

He clarified that the best programs of developing leadership skills of students were highlighted during the training process, in pursuit of building the character of police officer, and equipping the students with the virtue of justice and propagating the culture of equality through regulations and systems that pursue fairness and equity among all students without discrimination.

All efforts undertaken in teaching and training the students were a real translation of the vision of the wise leadership that underscores the criticality of investing and developing human cadre, as one of the core pillars of Qatar Vision 2030, Al Subaie underlined, pointing out that students are the leaders of tomorrow who shoulder the responsibility of security, and safety of the beloved country, adding that the state has full confidence in those young people who sincerely care for their homeland, and honestly serve it.

In his remark delivered on behalf of the graduates, the officer candidate Ali Muhammad Al Marri said that he and his fellows are proud of being graduated to join their fellows in the police force to engage in the process of safeguarding the security and safety of the beloved homeland.

The trainings the graduates have acquired in the supreme security edifices were accomplished by the efforts of their leaders and affiliates who instilled the concepts of noble military values, and consolidated traditions in their hearts that made them eager for joining the field of operation honestly, he said, adding that the students' engagement in a military and sports training program keeps pace with the latest evolution the military sciences have attained.

He pointed out that the students learned a wide range of police and legal curricula that would prepare cadres of officers, who are scientifically and practically qualified in the legal, police, safety and security fields.
